Maps from the University of Liège (see B5a building on the zone nord map).

How to get to the Physics Department of the ULg:

By car: the campus is now decently routed, with maps every so often on metallic signs. The main landmarks are the parking lots with numbers. Parking P44a is just above the Physics Department. P42 is another possibility. See here for a full list and map with all parking lots.

By plane: there are at least 2 convenient airports, Charleroi (mainly Ryanair) and Bruxelles-National aka Zaventem, (most international carriers, in particular SN Brussels airlines). From either you can get a train to Liège (SNCB Rail web site with time tables), though from Charleroi you first need a bus (line “A”) to get to the Charleroi SUD train station. Other possibilities are Maastricht Dusseldorf and Köln airports.

By train: the main train station in Liège is “Liège Guillemins”, with arrivals of TGV and ICE fast trains from Köln, Paris, and Brussels. (SNCB Rail web site with time tables).

The final leg will be by bus for most visitors (Liège urban transport):

From downtown Liege or the Guillemins train station, take line 48 to the university (direction CHU/Sart-Tilman). Stop at “Physique” (or “Chimie” which is just 200 meters before). Cross the street and walk down the hill to the B5a building (Physics). Timetables for the 48 are online

There is also an express bus from the train station, line 58. This does not go all the way down town, and makes a stop in “Chimie” at the University, then a bit further beyond Physics (overshoot 5 minute walk).
